properties and excellent in durability.SOLUTION: A laminate 1 includes: a base material 2composed of an organic polymer material having a functional group containing an oxygenatom or nitrogen atom; a functional layer 3 joined to the functional group of the organicpolymer contained in the base material 2, the functional layer formed by an atomic layerdeposition method; and an overcoat layer 4 containing a transition metal atom andformed to cover the functional layer 3. As the adhesion is excellent between the basematerial 2 and the functional layer 3 and the functional layer 3 is protected by theovercoat layer, high gas barrier properties and excellent durability to an environmentalstress such as heat or humidity are simultaneously realized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
