摘要： The cab assemblies used in modern construction vehicles normally comprise alarge amount of components in the form of metal plates which are welded or screwedtogether to form the structure and the materials of the various components forming saidcabins. The number of components in the form of metal plates and the time required tofabricate and weld or assemble are often considerable. The greater the number of partsrequired to build a large cabin is more it takes to make assembling them. This translatesdirectly into cost of a cab together. The entire cab (10) according to the present

invention comprises a non-metallic floor (50) which forms an integral part of its structure.Said floor (50) includes not only the hardware necessary for mounting the variouscomponents housed within the cabin assembly (10), but it also comprises a support forthe entire windshield (76) of the cabin . This windshield assembly (76) is mountedbetween the floor (50) and a structural element (34) placed close to the cab roof. Thetwo structural elements are designed to have surfaces (40, 42, 44, 62, , 66) on whichthe entire windshield (76) can be glued. The combination of these elements provides awhole cabin (10) having a reduced number of components and which is extremelyeconomical and practical design.
