摘要：This aims to provide a field element for relieving the stress concentration at aconnecting portion. A field element core (1) includes field-magnet through holes (41 and42) and connecting portions (11). The field-magnet through holes (41 and 42) areannularly arranged in a circumferential direction (92) around a predetermined direction(91), and are adjacent to each other to make a pair in the circumferential direction (92).Every paired field-magnet through holes (41 and 42) extend along in one direction (94)determined for each pair, as viewed in the predetermined direction (91). The connectingportions (11) are so interposed between the paired field-magnet through holes (41 and42) as to have ends (412 and 422) individually as side faces (111 and 112). These side faces(111 and 112) of the connecting portions (11) are made entirely concave. At only oneposition (r13) between the two ends of the side face (111), as viewed in the

predetermined direction (91), a tangential line (t(r13)) of the side face (111) extendsalong the extending direction (93) of the connecting portion (11). This discussion likewiseapplies to the side face (112).
